So this afternoon ~ 4.30 I'm driving home along Kingsway in my Yellow Spyder, when I come up behind a White Spyder, then we stop at the lights and a Black Spyder is on High Holborn.

Apart from the other Gallardo that parks in my car park I rarely see another Lambo on the road, but perhaps they are on the increase in London

I thought the same.
They will be as common as Boxters soon!

A lot more driveable and reliable since Audi got involved so more suitable as an everyday car than before.

Still seem to be a lot rarer than Ferrari's though.

I guess that's the 'problem' with the higher volumes Lamborghini are doing now... But financially it can only be good for the future of the marque

Other than in Monaco it's the only time I've ever seen another Spyder on the road when I've been driving
I just thought it was quite funny that out of (what 25 cars in the UK) 3 of us were at the same road junction

Is that just the common assumption... or is it really true? The Gallardo has had its fair share of issues.... apparently.

I've seen about 10 different spyders (lhd + rhd) in or around Chelsea , but yeah seeing 3 together must have looked like a magazine shoot !

I hope an owner will come in and answer this but I believe that the answer is a resounding YES!!! I think it's either Mike or Andy who have put some serious miles on their car to prove the point.

Actually, NEO's car has done 20K now (in 18 months), without issue. I have only done 9500 miles since new last April, but it has been as reliable as a Swiss-rail timetable. As with all these things, a few people will have had a terrible experience. Next months EVO will carry a Buyer's Guide on the G.

Lamborghini can only make about 35 cars a week (25 of which will be Gallardos, mostly Spyders at the mo). Ferrari do that in less than a day. Porsche in about an hour (seriously).

So Lambos are genuinely rare (still only about 300 Gallardos in the UK after two and half years). You see them because people are driving them. I know of several Countachs that have lower mileage than my G, never mind Diablos.

So Lambos are hardly "common" but the few out there do seem to be getting noticed. Perhaps the mad colours make them more memorable?

My ex boss's manual Gallardo (04 model with new clutch) has done nearly 20k miles (i think) including two Gumball Rallies. Well over 15k has been done on the current clutch. He drove into work a lot in the car and no problems.

You have to admit that Audi have done a bloody fantastic job with Lamborghini in creating a gorgeous car like the Gallardo that's also useable daily.

I take my hat off to them!!!!
