Mole Valley

was driving the car to Leatherhead golf club today and it developed a really bad vibrating noice from the exhaust. I pulled into Mole Valley as they were unroute and asked if they could haev a look - 'no problem, give us a couple of hours' they said.I turned up 4 hours later and they'd fixed the problem. the bracket had broken off and someone else had done a bad job of welding it back. They took the exhaust off and rebuilt the bracket. (mind you it cost me £180) the good news is the exhaust is fixed but there seems to be a knocking noise coming from the front under the engine - i'm not sure if its were they were working on sometime (I hope it is) its not constant but worring all the same. does anyone have any ideas (even with such a vauge description)

i'd put money on the exhaust,or lower end of the manifold pipe touching the chassis or gearbox somewhere. I have a similar problem with mine at the moment after i had the bracket by the cats welded.
Have a look at the chassis by the gearbox for any signs of contact.
