There cant be that much wrong with it ,they are very simple inside.
They have been used on lots of triumphs and the like.

Just check the park degree switch is the same if you get another motor.

Yep they're pretty easy to open up and service. I think the worm drive (well the long springy thing) maybe specific to TVR, but the actual motor is an old Lucas type. You can get a cover for them off a classic mini, but I'm not sure if they fit. I'll check once my car is runnign again.
