What to photo in the Florida Keys?
Discussion
Not quite the keys, but seeing as how you like photographing birds I can recommend: Hooters of Bay Side, 401 Biscayne Blvd, up in Miami
.
Otherwise it's the usual stuff, shanty diving emporiums, croc's, Flamingos, Conch burgers, long bridges, sunsets at Key West, cats at Hemingway's house, his drinking den, Sloppy Joe's.

Don't bother with the sunset from Mallory Square in Key West - it's usually packed. Hire a boat, that's what the Keys are for.
Get off the "Tourist Trail". There are plenty of old (by US standards, circa 1900) houses to shoot. From your "insect" shots, you've obviously got the eye for detail*. There's some lovely fretwork/woodwork on some of the older houses.
From memory, the Upper Keys are less crowded.
*I sound like a patronising wnaker

Pity you are not visiting the Conch Republic in April as they have quite a festivity there to celebrate their independence.

Lots of street festivities and drunken debauchery. Allegedly.
