Ferrari 308 GT/4 questions
Discussion
Hi there. I currently own a Fiat 124 Coupe, which I have spent a huge amount restoring and improving, and now I am looking towards the future. i quite like the idea of eventually super charging the Fiat, putting a cage in and basically turning it into a tarmac rally beast. I have taken quite a liking to the 308 GT/4 shape, and I am thinking that it's make a swell daily driver, and the Fiat would be good for weekends and competitions. What are peoples thoughts on the 308GT/4? Keep in mind I cannot afford much more (to be honest I'd be pushing it to reach a GT/4 but I'm prepared to do that) and I am in Australia. They sell for about AUS$50,000 in good condition over here. What should I look out for? Any other thoughts. ideas or general info?

Reuben

If you're stretching to buy a GT4 then you may struggle to afford maintenance for it as a daily driver. However, it's quite an easy car to work on (compared to modern stuff) so if you can do a lot of the work yourself then it's not so bad. Parts are v pricey though.
Here's what it cost me to run mine over 4 years:

Thanks for the info guys. I would try to do as much work as I can myself. I am reasonably handy with cars (at least the simpler stuff), and you'd be suprised how expensive some bits for old Fiats and Alfa's can be!!! I'll just have to look at a few different cars until the right one comes along I think.
