Hi All

Just an observation, I was trying to book my 996TT in for a service this week and couldn't, mainly because I was told that the week was full of services "most of which are Boxsters"

OK now I appreciate that they need to be serviced, but perhaps 911 drivers should get priority on booking slots for servicing ? Or perhaps they could be outsourced for servicing so they don't clog up the OPC's and 911 drivers can get in when they want ?

KY Jelly couldn't have got me in this week because of this.

Even if I could have been booked in, the only hire cars available were.....Boxsters !!

Hmmm - Maybe if you owned a current production model - they might have found you a slot....

that sounds very tony london, whats next, we will have should GT3 owners saying they deserve priority over TT owners.

If you want to be that right wing why not just offer them more cash.

Simply owning a proper car with the engine in the right place might suffice?

I know, I know. "Call that an engine!" etc etc/

From the front it looks the same as a Boxster anyway.

They should give slots according to the cost of your car at new. So priority to GT2, then TT, then GT3, etc, etc

if it were not for Boxsters Porsche would have gone bust and your 911 would not have been built

IIRC rumplestiltskin has a 993 turbo, so the comments above are null and void.

No I have a 996TT.
Actually by list price makes perfect sense, that way Boxster owners would be last in line, with GT2 & TT at the top of the pile. Considering there are not that many GT2's out there it would mean that TT drivers would get pretty much any choice of service slot......great !

Blimey - One of those Superior air-cooled ones - surprised it needs a service at all... and if it did I thought Porsche came to you...

List price of course, otherwise it just gets messy with year of manufacture, mileage, Glasses guide price etc etc - which would need to be taken into account for its value. List price is fixed & set.

Nope wasn't me - there is another thread on here about a Boxster S getting a whipping from a 996 C4S, so a TT aint gonna have any problems.

rumplestiltskin I hope you are just boared at work & are trying to wind posters up.

I sometimes think of selling my 996, as I don't want people to think that is how i am.

I never realy thought of it when i bought the car, I have always seen 911's and thought" lovly car , one day I could have one" seems most people see a 911 and think " flash c$$t, hope he crashes it"

PLEASE do not give them any more reason to think that way.

What about OPC's installing in house hairdressing salons for TT owners - might stop the poor darlings whinging.

A 996 isn't even a current model and last time I checked, a new decent spec 987s costs the same as a 996TT anyway.
