Anyone know the costs of carrying out a front and rear light upgrade on a Chim? Possibly just the rear as i think the older lights may still look tasty..

Cheers

Front speed 6 conversion around £1300.00 inc vat. Rear depends on what you want.. there are plenty options.

Think carefully before you do this. Not my opinion but something you should take into account.

There was a thread on here some time back which concluded that the resale value and general saleability of cars with upgraded front lights was compromised. The majority think it looks wrong when viewed in the flesh.

Agreed, was only thinking of the rears really. Som Chim's come with the older Fiesta type lights and the newer versions are a definate improvement.

Had my rears done on the Griff at Central TVR, Stourbridge. Cost about a grand I think, tho can get LE lights with seam visible for about £500.

No no no, it's just so wrong!

Stick with whatever's standard on your car - you narrow down the market for any potential buyers when you come to sell, just like engine mods

It's not worth it, believe me.

The majority of buyers will rather have a good standard car, rather than something that looks like Frankensteins monster.....

We dont all make alterations to our cars with re sale in mind.... We plan on keeping our Chimaera indefinitely and will make the changes we want to see. Our taste and our taste alone.....A front light conversion is on the cards along with a couple of other things ( Full re spray, new roof, full interior trim.)If you like it, do it.

Not "our taste alone" - quite a few cars have been converted, so there must be a good number of people who prefer the updated look to standard. Well, there's two of us at least!

This thread didn't seem too negative on the subject.
