Devon here I come...
Discussion
I'm off to Devon tomorrow for a delayed valentine dirty weekend.
Even better than that, or perhaps the real reason for my enthusiasm, is that im picking up some new tyres, a radar detector and looking forward to stretching the Integra's legs all the way down. Nice twisty 'A' roads all the way.
I just hope it doesn't rain.
Going to head around the coast road near Minehead ending up in Coryde. Anyone driven alonmg it ? Is it any good ?
I usally go across bodmin moor when im down there.

For what its worth the A358 is a complete pain in the rear end takes for ever and is full of caoches and old biddies (very very frustraiting guaranteed to make you arrive in a bad mood and the the betterhalf)
You will save your self at least an hour by going a couple of junctions down on the M5 and picking up the A361 just mind the speed camera by the small bridge.
Where about are you staying in croyde ?
(Go down there quite a bit in the summer and stay at the saunton sands hotel)

Was in Croyde in October - blinding surf as well. Usually get down to Devon about twice a year. Did take the coast road once last year. Quite an intresting drive. Porlock Hill is good fun - got loads of popping and burbling in the TVR. Have also gone across Exmoor as well on the B3224/B3223/B3358 through Simonsbath - just watch out for stray sheep.
We usually stay at the Unison Holiday Camp in Croyde when we go - mainly because it is dirt cheap and a good laugh. Food is not bad either and if you ever visited a holiday camp in the 60's and 70's it is a real time warp. They also have an indoor swimming pool and a mini gym - all included. Not sure it is open during the winter months.
Maybe we should have a Pistonheads Surfing weekend in Croyde Bay.
