Has anyone got Protech fitted as an alternative to Nitrons. If so, any good?

Hi,

Yes I have protech's on my Tuscan......

When I 1st got them i have to say I wasn't that impressed (after a full geo set up also). However I have jsut had a 12k service by Torque RVT (Ian at Middlewich)and the car feels totally transformed, much stiffer and more capable at higher speeds. Ian told me that they were all out of sync and not set up properly.

i have no experience of Nitrons, so cant compare the two. Now that I have them set up properly its a vast improvement over standard!!!

Speak with Trackcar, very helpful.

Where did you get them fitted Mark? There's a certain garage that appears to be deliberately misaligning some supension systems to make them underperform, I have seen this a few times now and I now refuse to sell kits mail order that are going to be fitted there.

I also know that a market competitor also says the same thing and will now no longer supply that garage with suspension kits either.

For good suspension set-up in that area both he and I suggested the same person to use .. Andy at APM. You can't go wrong there.

Ian in the north is good too

Why on earth would they be doing this deliberately?

Who knows but if Mark's car was poor after being fitted and is fine now it follows the same trend of others, that it's the fitting that's causing all the problems. It really is disapointing

My two penneth. Is it not possible that the garage in question may think they are doing the correct thing but in fact do not actually know how to set the suspension correctly? Maybe some one should have a word in their shell like? My philosophy on such things is that we must all do something in life to earn our living but not everyone is especially good at the doing.
