What would you pay for a brand new 150 mile old Cat d 06 Blade?

How much damage , if its a 150 mile 06 plate it must have quite a bit to deem it uneconomical to repair

Well it is supposed to have slid down the road. The owner had a new for old insurance policy and was paid out immediately and the bike was written off as a cat d. As far as I know it had no frame/fork damage.

£1000?

If it proves to be knackered you can always sell the engine to a Locost builder

well a mint one should easily fetch anywhere between £7000 and £8000 personally i think it would depend on the damage and also consider it will be hard to re sell

I can get a fully repaired one for £5500 so I might just buy it and not bother reselling it.

if you want to do that then i would go for it, when it gets older and you want a new bike you can always convert it to be a track bike

I ride my road bike on track anyway. It saves having a van etc. Of course my inevitable get off which will be coming at some point might change my view on that.

Dono on tuesday also made me consider getting a track bike as loads of lovely machines got thrown into the grass for no apparent reason.

i may well take mine on the track, ive certainly grown rather confident on the road with it but as you say the likleyhood of crashing is quite high and those parts cost a fortune, i think i would actully rather get a damaged CBR600RR or R6 a couple of years old and fix it up for track use only, firstly because it would be cheaper secondly i think i would prefer a 600 on most tracks anyway, good luck with the bike either way.
