Agree with Louis out of Longridge to Trough of Bowland, Whitewell has a really good boozer.

Great drives, sure, BUT the roads are full of ever changing cambers and a lot of startled campers. Did a run from Dunsop Bridge through the Trough to the M6 at Lancaster alongside our kid driving him and mis missus in their new MX5 and he threw it around - fascinated with the traction control button was he - and I had some fun in Bluey that day. yikes

There's an awful lot of sheep and the folks walk close to the road through the lowest part of the valley, so it's a case of remember the MGCC motto: Safety Fast

Head out through Goosnargh towards Chipping and then on to the Inn at Whitewell before going on up through Dusnop Bridge through the Trought and Dolphinholme then over to Kirby Lonsdale. Lovely. Can drop back down the same route or take the A6 or M6 back to Preston if you need to hurry.

i'm sure you've probably been round here already, but i've just moved to mere brow just outside of tarleton, and the roads are fantastic around here, having lived in standish were its a constant traffic jam all day, its a welcome change!!they arent challenging in any way, just a good blend of slow and fast corners with a few straights, including a fantastic good mile and a half (ish) straight towards holmeswood for good luck!
