The elctrics on my 89 mini worked fine. When connecting the front left indicator, the two wires connected and caused a spark which caused all indicators on that side to stop working. Now everything has gone, apart from the headlights and one speed of the wipers and also the hazards. I have changed the big pink dim/dip unit and have changed the wiper relay and also the indicator stalks but nothing has happened. There is now no feed to the rear lights, dashboard lights, indicators etc. All fuses have been tested and are ok.

I am really lost on this one and short of an autoelectrician I really don't know what to do. I understand electrics to a fair standard but am really struggling with this, any help would be greatly appreciated.
