Just installed some Infinity jobbies in the rear bulkhead area and after pulling the (standard Pioneer) head unit out was surprised to see cabling apparently installed for four speakers. As only front pair previouly in car, am assuming extra cabling must terminate somewhere...any ideas where as the loom just seems to disappear up behind dash and into distance?? Am reluctant to just hack into it... V8??...just four TL1000s zip-tied together, innit!?

Have a look in your boot. Pull the panel above the tank off, and up above the wheel arches somewhere you should find the terminals for the rear speakers. I think the factory install the wiring but no speakers. You might need to shove your arm up the gap and fish about, beware of the glass fibre! If you fit rear speakers of any quality you'll want to upgrade the speaker cables to something more substantial.

Thanks for that...got all excited when two pairs of terminals found just as you say. Then all despondent when they turned out not to be connected to the stereo harness. Delved into lock panel behind passengers seat and voila, one four way connector with same coloured wiring, so job completed with a couple of runs of cable through from boot to that...after working out pairings and polarity. Can hear the stereo now...well worth the effort V8??...just four TL1000s zip-tied together, innit!?
