Hi,

I've just had the exact same fault and what i did was bang it around for a bit when out of the dash. Put it back in and it worked!!!! Not very scientific, but it worked for me.

Cheers Rick

Jon,
has your car got the tumbler type odometer or the later digital type?
Is the battery now flat, sounds like it.
Maybe you have shorted a wire out behind the dash causing a current drain, or knocked an earth wire off somewhere.
Looks like you won't get anywhere until you charge the battery

Thanks to all who came up with various suggestions on how to fix speedo, tried all wiring but in the end just hit it a few times with palm of hand when driving and it's working tickety boo now. Also thanks to those who suggested Carl Baker @ Car & Bike to sort immobiliser, just got alarm and immobiliser back and fitted to car and we're back on the road, yahoo certainly missed the bitch.
Once again cheers
