Well Sheff United did very well indeed to hold Liverpool to a draw! Always root for the little chaps, except when they play us, anyway!

hehe Well at least A J is off the mark! watford put up a god fight against a not to great everton side, and reading played a blinder against Boro... those pesky promoted sides, always fighting like dogs!

So far as I can see, only one real "upset" on opening day, and that was Villa getting a point at Arsenal.... plus, maybe Pompey giving Blackburn such a conclusive beating, though I'd have expected them not to lose.

Reading are going to do a Wigan!!

Upset?

UPSET?

Five goals for and three against is great news.

A great day for Mancunians who aren't bitter yes

I'm upset...

Exceedingly dodgey penalty given against Watford at Goodison - same old story, little team never getting the refereeing decisions banghead

"dodgey".... possibly the under-statement of the season!

Or the Viduka disallowed effort.

I hate Viduka (I don't know why but he sets my teeth on edge) but the timing of his run was perfection.

unfortunately, that is probably true (but how much enjoyment does a "proper" (ie pre-abramovic) chelsea fan really derive from that?)

hopefully, barca will put them to the sword in the champions league

I'm an Everton fan, and I can truly say that if we had some sort of football sugar daddy, and we had years of success, I would love it!
