Chaps,

What are we going to do for the new season:

Seems we are all getting into RFactor a bit, but GTL is the one we've all got. GTR2 isn't out for a while, so shall we start thinking about a league for the autumn, and what its going to be.

I vouch for the league to start mid October, as the weather and nights will have turned (and I'll be back from the states).

To the floor with it...

Yeah, Mid October is OK for me..

Although, maybe 'mess-abouts' are better in GTL now? And the odd race in rFactor? (on different nights for those who haven't got one of them?)

Although I wouldn't say no to another league.. but we need to have random tracks.
I say something 'unusual' like Shelby Daytona Coupes, or that Renault thingy..

Dave.

Quite a choice, I'd like an open wheel league either F1, GP2, F3 or Karts for a change.

PS for a later league possibility have you seen this yet? - Race the WTCC game from Simbin - www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=298585&f=108&h=0

I'm a bit wary of a league based on a new Simbin game ... unless they really sort out the multiplayer problems. At the moment rFactor is looking promising because of the sheer variety available. For me, closed wheel tends to be more fun because it's (usually) less technically challenging. Since most people are GTLers we should probably stick with that in the immediate future.

I think we should should stick with GTL for the time being as this is what the majority have.

I think a format with randomly selected tracks each week would be great... no practice involved!

and perhaps a subset of GTC65 cars?

I like the suggestion of the renault alpine it's a great car, if a bit twitchy.

Just spotted this thread and really interested. Is this a sort of online league for racing games?

I'll be sticking with GTL. I'm not interested in swapping to the latest game all the time (I wish we'd stuck with GPL tbh, far better than GTL).

Mid october is far too late, we need to set one up next week to be finished by October ready for the next one. I love the one off larkabout races, but we only seem to get full grids with a championship, every week at 8pm on a Sunday

Having 3 driver races were ridiculous though.

Trouble with this is, we've still got two months of (supposedly) decent weather and evenings.

However, its not for me to decree, its the majority.
