Looks like a nice tidy one Wayne. How are you finding it after the wedge?

Hi Ian, I haven't put many miles on her yet...rubbish weather.
Quite a bit bigger than the wedge, and left hand drive takes some getting used to..but on the whole i love it. Much more relaxing drive, which is nice.
I have a couple of little niggles, dodgy temp guage, and yesterday i noticed the horn isn't working.
So maybe not that different to the TVR then..hehe

Cool! Is that a 1990 L98? If so, that was my first Vette.

Ended up putting those 91 wheels on it and a 91 nose so I think it had the best of both worlds, i.e. a 1990 concave rear with the more streamlined 91 nose.

Nice car!

Is that the candy-apple red colour... always loved that colour ... (especially on 1969!)

Is it manual?
Does it have the Z51 suspension?

Lovely C4, really is.

I think it was originally from Canada...not completely sure now.silly

It's a lovely deep red colour (again not sure on exact description..), some marks here and there but nothing to worry about. I've yet to apply any polish as yet, only washed her so far.

It's an auto, which was deliberate as i have a somewhat dodgy back and the main reason for selling the Wedge TVR.

The cars spec was advertised as Full Euro spec when on the forecourt of Claremont in March this year. Which means big mirrors, additional lamps front and rear etc.
Some of these things will be disappearing..soon

Certainly turns heads..

Dodgy temperature gauge? On the later C4's there are 2 gauges an analogue one on the dash and also you can show the temperature digitally on the step-thru display. There are also 2 temperature senders one which is near the water pump and the other is on the block.....this leads to different temperature especially when the car is cold as the water temperature can vary from the block to the water pump!

It will be either a dodgy wire or faulty sender unit most likely. A fault gague is also possible but more of a P.I.T.A. to fix.

On the no-horn front......didn't you know that a Corvette is in fact a penis substitute and therefore your horn will have been removed when you bought it........ or it could be a dodgy earth!!

rofl

I figured it was maybe dodgy earths etc. The engine certainly does not over heat, and the guage starts off ok..then just goes loopy and buries itself past the red line. If you hit a bump it goes awry again...before settling back past the red.rolleyes
I have a reciept showing a dash off/removal investigation 2 years ago, but doesn't state whether they ever fixed it?
Don't think i noticed a digital temp display on the dash, I'll take a look in the handbook too.
I ordered a Haynes manual online..which should help.

Thanks for the help.thumbup

Corvette C4 was my first Yank too. Remarkably fast and accomplished car. Still makes my heart skip when I see one. I had 3 years great motoring from mine but it wasn't a patch on that one which looks immaculate. mine had 51k on when bought it and 78k on it when I sold it due to CSA raping me.
