Broken Down Griff with roofrack & surfboard M4 Friday

Hope it was nothing serious & you managed to get where you were going!

Was passenger in a minibus so couldn't stop to see if all was OK. Liked the board on the roofrack

it looked like it had been fastened straight through the targa panel.
TBH since seeing it I have been thinking about getting a spare targa from a breakers & doing something similar. As long as the item on the roof is reasonably light & doesn't want to lift, I can't see it as too much of a problem.

I'm surprised that the targa panel can take any kind of extra weight or lift. They have enough trouble staying on at speed anyway without making things worse!

I`m surprised it was broken down , are you sure he wasn`t just showing somebody the engine ? Mine has never failed to finish a journey in eight years and that is with minimal servicing (so much for FSH)

The car was pulled onto the hard shoulder & he was out of it & behind the barrier. Maybe it had overheated in the jam & it was cooling off? I'm not slating the car, I love my chim!

It was red, not sure the exact tone but could have been cherry
