Mornin'

On my way to work this morning, I notitched a near 2 inch part of my nearside front wheel was a bit, well flat and buckled!! Great Monday Morning discovery!!

It struck me then, that on Saturday, driving south bound down the Northern approach to the Blackwall Tunnel (A12), I hit a stupidly big pot hole, which sent an almighty thud through the car, it was so loud I thought the gearbox had fallen out!

It's really frustrating, as I'm now stuck with a buckled wheel, which whilst I can drive on it, it's no doubt a bit dangerous, and so needs fixing or even replacing. I feel really sore paying out my own pocket or worse claiming on my insurance thanks to the Council leaving giant pot holes in a major road through the capitals east end.

Is there any chance of getting the council to take some responsibility for this, or is that a long, painful experience involving small claims etc?

Appreciate your advice....

THere is. My old man has successfully claimed off 2 or 3 councils for other people in similar circumstances. Email him through his profile - AdrianEagle is his username. He can tell you how to go about it

Cheers AE, just emailed him.

Sorry for the rant people, I was a bit upset on Monday morning.

I have been on the site for a while, but my old email is dead so coudlnt' get password and decided to start again, so I'm a newbie again living in the east end, with an aging Honda VTEC, in white naturally!
