Hi all,

My vette has had a "check engine light" on which I instantly thought, oh god its gonna blow up. Checked the codes and it comes up with P0113 Intake Air Temp (IAT) Sensor Circuit High Voltage and P1111 Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Intermittent High Voltage.

Does this mean I will need to replace the IAT or is there a prob with the wiring?, have searched some US forums and they suggested it may be the plug, wiring or the sensor itself. Anyone had similar and know where I could get the parts if I need them??

Ta

Try disconnecting the battery and leaving the car for 20 minutes.
Also try disconnecting the offending plug with the battery connected.

Best option is clear the code and ignore it!!

If my memory serves me right? Assuming this is a glitch, once you have started the engine about 20 times the light will disappear

Thanks for the replys fellas, have reset the code, but still keeps coming up, reckon the sensor must be goosed or even the wiring!! damn and blast the electronic goblins!

Just a thought on the wiring. I had a p0200 fault a while back giving me an injection problem. Found this thread on the web, and applied the fix and it went away. The fuel rail seems to chafe the insulation on C5s and can give myriad codes on the DIC.

I hope for your sake it is.... about 0.00001p's worth of insulation tape on the rail does the same job as the rather elegant solution in this link. Both should be cheaper than a sensor.

Dammit! Can't paste or type the full url. just a mo and I'll try to find a resolution....

Aaaah that's better....

Lots of luck.

I've got the same problem on the Camaro at present. I'm going to change the sensor first. Just ordered one from Fred Beans at $10. Worth a try before I dig deeper.

Thanks guys, have to admit never thought that it may be broken insulation , wiggled the wire this morning and could here the revs changing, it does also have a mad tickover at the moment, anywhere from 500 to 1500 rpm, it's driving me nuts!!!!!

Got a feeling it may be the connector that goes into the sensor in the bellows or very near it.

Any ideas where I may be able to source new wiring confused
