Track day noise level (Croft)

I've just booked myself on the BNG track day at Croft. The max noise level is 105dba. Does anybody know at what engine speed the noise level is measured and where, in relationship to the exhaust pipe, the meter is placed?

105db is too bl---y noisy but at 30mph on track it won't be an issue!

I believe Croft have the meter set at 45deg to the tailpipe at 1 metre. With engine hot and the revs held at a constant 1/3 of the rev range. The average value over a 'short' period is then given for your car.

Just tested my noise level. 105dba at 5000rpm with meter placed 1m away at 45 degrees to the zorst. Had better take the standard cans with me just in case!

Should be fine. Take the spares by all means but I dont expect you'll need them.

Ran my Sag with straight through CCC cans at Croft last month. No problem with noise at all.
