Replacement Alternator

The alternator on my canam has dveloped a high pitched whine around 2krpm, it sounds as though the bearings are on their way out. This is the third alternator the car has had in 11,000 miles, last time the alternator was replaced by the factory the bracket was also replaced with the uprated billet item as the original snapped.

I spoke to the factory a couple of days ago and at the moment they don't have any replacements in stock, they in turn advised me to contact Amercian speed who have some but I am unlikely to get one for a couple of weeks.

Does anyone know of another supplier of a high quality replacement alternator that might have one in stock now in the UK that would bolt straight on?

I'd also maybe check that the belt is aligned true, otherwise it might be side loading the bearings...

Dou you have a LS Engine or an Amerspeed ?
