Sounds lovely, and a bit of a handful round bends I guess. (or the driver can't drive)

Is it just me or does that sounds like an utter sack of shit...? Sounds like no Rover V8 I ever heard. Not sure what the exhaust is that is on it, but it needs some work to get it sounding right. Ditch the twin outlets for one. Rovers *always* sound better through a single exit or very closely spaced twins (ie: right next to each other)
Other than that, looks like a top little plaything.

Does look shite and if it didn,t have a tvr motor fitted wouldn,t get the time of day on here. There was a golf /tvr made by the Ex service manager Andy leech which did look half a thing. It had a rally set up and sounded the dogs bollox. It had a 5.0 litre engine ,box and diff .That would be worth tracking down.

could possibly be because of no balance pipe between exhausts, when I first fitted 5.0 griff engine in the capri I didnt fit a balnce pipe and it ran and sounded like this golf, fitted a balance/crossover pipe (ideal is 70% of exhaust pipe diameter)made a world of difference.
