All those that don't know this Saturday is the Ace Cafe Corvette Day so anyone is welcome to turn up in a Corvette!!!

There will be a cruise arranged by Tekwiz starting at 11:30 a.m. from Krispy Kreme in New Maldon.

Ace Cafe is located on the North Circular about 1 mile East of the Hangar Lane roundabout.

Food is typical cafe food i.e. bacon, eggs, sausage, beans etc. ideal for mopping up the Fairmile BBQ hangover.......

would have loved to have attended my 1st Vette meet.

Is this a monthly thing?

How many Vettes are going to be there?

Are Krispy Kreme gonna give us some donuts? I may just come along!

I'll be up in Cambridge in the morning collecting my Z06 (C5 that is) and will return via The Ace. Hopefully won't be too late.

Looks like I've been talked into it!

I'll be bringing a very cool interloper as well. www.auto-journals.com/s2/content/bosscerb1.html
He's coming along to the Fairmile tomorrow and crashing out at mine before joining in the cruise.

That car is one of the few that can (at least) keep up with a Z06!

Surely not........Mr. Phil "The Boss" James yikes

That means both his and Jellison's every so slightly modified TVR's will hopefully both be in the same place at the same time!

would I offend anyone if I turn up in a 1970 Z28/RS ?. It does have a COPO type 1969 427 big block corvette engine. If it is raining forget it.

Hoping to make it Dave as I spent the 1st 28 years of of my life in the Wembley area so a return to the Ace will be somewhat nostalgic for me and the thought of some donuts too is complelling.

IMPORTANT - not familiar with KK - are they USA style donuts or British, I can't stand castor sugar on my donuts! Unlike the white soft powdery stuff the USA uses, which name eludes me and we dont have any in the larder right now!

And I presume we will be heading from Merton to Hammersmith and around the North Circular. I ask because I have not driven in London since the 80s and have never driven a Vette there. Whats the traffic like these days, do they get scratched?

Good question. Can anyone comment on what it's going to be like getting round on an August bank holiday Saturday?

My personal preference would be done the A3 to the M25, M25 to the M40/A40 then straight down the A40 to Hangar Lane, then onto the North Circular. Trying to keep a whole stream of Corvettes together around London on the motorways will be a lot easier than trying through the centre of London.......also my car hates stop/start traffic!
