I found this today as well. There was a canon web page found today regarding the 400D but its been pulled already...

Should this be tomorrow's announcement which i think is highly likely, I will be placing an order to backup my 1D

The 70-200 F4 doesn't need IS anyway, it's just a marketing ploy to fool the L-coholics.

its going to be 200-300 extra for IS on that lens, bringing it almost to the f2.8 cost, when the IS on the 2.8 adds abotu 100quid...
