doe anyone know how i can access behind my driver side wiper arm. when i put my wipers on only the passenger side moves, when i take my driver side off the spleen it does turn but as soon as i put pressure on it stops, i can feel the wiper cable moving but it feels as if something has come loose or something is slipping. apprecate all help. cheers, adam.

Oh, you don't want to be messing with your spleen, best leave that to the medical chaps

The drive is a helical wire-wound cable that engages with gear wheels on the spindle bottoms (in little pressed steel cases that hold the cable in mesh). It's a horrible arrangement with all sorts of scope for slop and wear... in combination this can allow the cable to ride over the gear teeth resulting in no drive. Or maybe the cable has broken.

Access from behind the dash, inside the car, through a wee letterbox of an access hatch. I managed to find a drive cable from a classic Lucas specialist for peanuts but the spindle assemblies are like rocking horse poo. TVR want to supply the whole lot including the motor as a package.
