Right then a trip to "The Ring" - its been mooted on a couple of threads now so lets get the ball rolling. We will, as I understand it, need to see the official opening times calender for 2007 before we can pick a date proper but not sure it is released yet. Will be looking at Spring 2007, guessing a long weekend maybe head over on the Friday back on the Sunday, probably worth avoiding Bank Holidays a I guess it would be busier. What I would suggest (when we have the date) is that we try to settle on a hotel/lodging and settle on crossing but that everyone after that sort outs there own booking, this minimizes the risk of one person being held accountable for unused bookings if/when people drop out or disappear off the face of the planet. Also if people want to incorporate it into a longer trip or add days on either end it gives everyone more freedom. I have never been so any ring veterans would be great to show us the ropes; personally however I just want to drive it more than anything, not going over to kill myself and won't be setting any records (except perhaps, slowest recorded lap )

Right then.. Step 1.
Names on a list time, no commitment as obviously it is impossible without a definive date, but just a guauge of interest.

If its the former, its a no go for me. Cant get road insurance, can get track insurace - go figure!

From this I'd taken it to be a 'normal' public open day, but I could be getting the wrong end of the stick
