To answer your ECU question it was changed from Motronic 2.7 (carried over from the 348) to 5.2 in order to comply with emission standards and OBD2 (on board diagnostics)- as required in the USA. It is widely reputed that the cars had less power after the change.

i thought they were rumoured to be a little more reliable (read: 'well sorted'), as opposed to down on power?
i've had a good fish around that site already.Actually looking for something more like what would have been the brochure for the car - had they ever down one!

here's Autocar's '94 roadtest on 355. What is it you're trying to find out ? I have a 355 guide but can't post due to copyright . PM if you want it .

looking for a general review of what the car was like at the time of it's release - maybe comparing it with what was also on the roads at the time.
i'd also like to try and work out why they gave the 355 what they did, in terms of the spec. worth understanding what the car was specifically built for, before taking the plunge?!

in '94 the competition was 993 and NSX .Simply put, 355 is miles ahead of 993- i owned 4- in terms of ride, handling and speed . Can't comment on NSX. For a Ferrari , spec was pretty good. Standard climate, leather, CD player. The car was successor to 348 .
Buy a properly sorted 355 and you'll never regret it
