battery went flat, now central locking not working

My griffs battery went flat after I went on my hols and forgot to put my accumate on, doh! anyway the accumate seems to of now charged it up ok as the engine turns over perfectly, however the remote central locking doesnt seem to be working, its not the keyfob as ive tried my spare also (new batts in both, any ideas would be gratefully received. thanks in advance

Had a similar problem - seems the system can get itself confused - I was advised to totally disconnect the battery - leave for a few minutes and then reconnect - seems to reset the system somehow - worked for me anyway! Worth a try.

Confirmed - had this a few weeks ago on the chim - and again today when I left the lights on all day in the company car park (Doh!). On the 3 occasions It has happened to me I

1. Put on jump leads (use a handy RAC man if you have locked your jump leads in the boot...double Doh! today)
2. Start engine, run for 5 mins to charge battery
3. Turn off engine
4. Disconnect earth side of battery for 5 seconds then reconnect.

After doing the above you should find the alarm has reset, you may need to give it 5-10 seconds to fully sort itself out after reconnecting the earth. Then press remote lock and unlock to test and away you go.
