How do you get the battery out of a Cerbera?

I helps to have some kind of levering tool (large screwdriver works for me) to get it past the nut.

I used to have a battery lifting tool. Basically a strap attached to two brackets with holes, slightly larger than the battery terminals. You slip the brackets onto the terminals and lift.

Not recommended for long distances etc.

You'll need to remove the N/S airbox first. Be careful, there is a small pipe attached at the bulkhead end and it's easy to break it off if you suddenly yank the airbox upwards.

Remove the battery clamp and this should expose two further bolts either side of the clamp mounting nut. Loosen these (if you can) and then remove the earth lead. Slide the battery outwards. Disconnect power lead and lift out the battery. If the two bolts are rusted in, see the thread above on how to get them out.

Make sure the keys aren't in the car or you leave a door open when you reconnect the battery. The alarm will shut the windows and lock the car. As I found to my amusement the first time I changed a battery.
