No side lights / main beam / hazards

Griff 500HC: Decided to take the car out at night; but lights do not work (anymore). I can indicate & flash; but the rest of the lights do not work. Hazard doesn't work either. It's just had its MOT in July, so they were working then. Any help would be appreciated.. I have no skills with electrics & the quantity of wires now in the footwell scares me.

As the lights have individual fuses for the headlamps and left & right side/tail lamps and none of these work (or the hazard lamps) I'd suspect a supply problem to the switches.

I must admit, that as the bank of three switches are 'together' I did think they may be the problem.
Only question is, how do I get to the back of them? Should I by-pass switches to see if they're the problem; or may it be the wires going into the fuse box?
