Hi

If you've got a 'non-BT' phone line whats the cheapest fixed monthly flat rate charge i can get thru it?

Also, i'm refering to dial-up services only, as i here a broadband service needs some extra cableing to be wired into your home!

But i'm not allowed to do this to my property, so if broadband is the cheapest here, it'll need to include a free alternative to the channeling of wires put thru newly drilled wall holes etc, like some external modem type box i can simply plug-in.
cheers

How come you can't 'do that' to your property? Is it yours?

What do you mean by 'non BT', do you have a cable phone or do you just pay your bill to onetel etc?
There shouldn't be any need to drill holes in the wall as the broadband signal is carried down a standard phone line

Hmmmm if you had a BT line Then I would suggest this www.names.co.uk one off connection charge of £60, Free ADSL modem and then NO charges for the first 12 months - must be one of the cheapest broadbeans about.

yes i went there as suggested, trouble was it didnt allow the tailoring of user prefs, so you'd end finding the cheapest, then find theres some catch that dumps the choice down the tube

anyway, i settled for tiscali at 14.99 per month, [via their mailshoted cdrom], for surfing at any-time, an with no catches to solving my predicament above!

Beat that folks !
