PANASONIC NV-GS400 ??

I have the chance to buy a PANASONIC NV-GS400 vid camera at a price of £375, it is new but from a reciever. I am tempted as it has av in/out and i want to run a bullet cam from it sometimes, my question is...well 2 questions...is it worth it at that price and is it over kill for mainly in car video.
Had a quick google on it and seems to be a 2005 model and would just like some advice from people who know more about specs etc than me...which is very little ...thanks in advance.

i bought one about a year ago for just under a grand. It produces stunningly good results. It may be a little much for the car, and its not the smallest DV cam around either. The other thing worth considering is that HD DV cams are starting to come down in price.

If it is the same as the PV-GS400 in the States, it is a good camera.
