Unfortunately so.

Ashley Martin, an 18 year old competing in the superstock series, crashed at the gooseneck on Sunday during practice/qualifying. He was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary, however was declared dead on Monday Morning.

RIP.

indeed, RIP.
weekend wasnt too bad, weather spoiled it a lot but the racing more than made up for that. speaking of which, did any one see greg lavilla over the mountain in race 2 when he nearly lost it? amazing how he saved it!!!!!

Watched all the sky coverage when I got home after.

It amazes me how far off the ground some of them get at the mountain.

Shakeys crash was also good. Seeing him trying to start the bike again whilst the marshall just walked off in the other direction. I bet he was fuming under that helmet.

Was on men & motors during the day yesterday & then shown in full on Sky last night.

Not sure whether it will be shown again.

Yep, bit of a pisser, he was doing alright. I don't think the racers are allowed outside assistance from marshalls to push start bikes etc. Instant black flag?

Can't really remember...
