Profile of 18 inch tyres

Hi

I've bought a set of 18 inch spiders that came of a tuscan s. What profile tyres are people using on their 18 inch rims? I want to know if the tyres currently fitted to the rims will fit or if I need to get some new tyres.

Are the fronts and rears the same profile?

I use the following
Front: 225 35 18
Rear: 255 35 18

Mail order rears from rochford tyres, they will only cost you £85 each.

225 /35 front
235/40 rear

APY ... can you get away with the 255/35/18's on the rear? I was told they would catch the arches but i think the wider rear tyres makes it look rear awasome from the rear

Thats what i have on mine but you need good dampers to stop tyre rub.

Not sure if I have up rated dampers. Had them on for 6 weeks............only rubbed once on a very bumpy road plus I get that “awesome rear look” which I love!

my left rear rubs the arch, thats on 235/40/18 on the rears, 225/35 on front, might try the 245/35 next time
