IM interested in getting one but want to know how good they are do they go off all the time

I have had one for just over a week. Not played with the radar/laser bit yet so I cannot report on that. The rest of the (GPS) kit seems to work well enough and it comes with all sorts of wires and brackets to fit it just about anywhere. I'm not convinced that the individual radar frequencies are switchable to disable X band, but the whole radar bit can be switched off leaving the laser part activated.
