If you have a pass you will be parking on the hill above the hairpin. Without one you'll have to use the park and ride but i have heard they are getting the use of the fields around kh this year for parking.
Park and ride is probably the best option as getting out of circuit can be a nightmare.
No matter where you park mud and fields will be involved!

I think the "new facilities" are within the outer perimeter of the circuit, so not far. As others have siad, the access can be a bit rough and you will get delayed getting out of the circuit at the end, but should be no worse than the PnR which I heard would not be running this year.
I expect to be up there from about 07:30 both mornings in an attempt to avoid the traffic problems.

Looking at the KH website I spotted parking passes on sale for the BTCC at £10 a piece. Does anyone know where these allow you to park and where you would end up without a pass? Might be worth it to avoid big queues for busses and muddy fields!
In my experience, the parking pass can be worth it as the ciruit parking always remains in far better nick than the park 'n' ride fields where I've been near to stuck when I had the Integra. Don't need to worry about the rough ground in my tractor (Probably no worries with your Scooby either). I get access to my car any time I want and don't have to worry about the stampede for those buses (although I always stay for the last support race).
If by some miracle the weather is warm I'm stuck getting out of the circuit in aircon instead of queuing for the buses.
I'll have 3 passengers to split the extra cost.
If not busy late on you may well get the freedom to move your car about as you please.
I certainly wasn't impressed with the parking this year. Charged £5 for parking on the side of a hill. There was no mention of that charge on the knockhill website. The "new" car park was on the side of a hill. I was very lucky that I got there early and was able to park at the top of the hill so didn't have much bother getting out through the mud, helped by the 4WD of my R32, but I really felt for those guys who were being towed up by a tractor. At least with the park and ride last year the field was relatively level. You would think they would learn, it's always wet at Knockhill and the fields are muddy, don't put cars in a field that they need to go uphill to get out.
While I'm on my soapbox, why wasn't there police directing traffic at Kincardine, the new traffic lights were only letting 3 - 4 cars through at a time. Seen plenty of police in lay bys watching traffic so the people were available. After all it was to be expected that there would be heavy traffic going through Kincardine towards Glasgow.
Other than the above it was a great day out even if the weather was dodgy at times. the tornados and the red Devils were awesome

Watched most of it on Motors TV last night (3 hour time difference in Moscow) some really good racing and some kamekazi overtaking at the hairpin especially. The new surface and kerbing got a big thumbs up as well. Not the same as being there in the flesh though, but, twas ever thus!!

The atmosphere was amazing when the racing was on. Shedden was robbed in pretty much all 3 races imho.
Ditto regards to parking. We took my dads 530d up and after grounding the gearbox on a loan rock you couldnt see in the sludge that you had to cross to get in to the field (one at the right as you drove along, not the really steep one at the hairpin), we then had the pleasure of grounding the shit out it on the way out as well.
Its all good though, what pleasure in life exceeds paying £5 to potentially crack your gearbox casing and damage brake lines? The rwd wasnt a problem getting out although we were in the first 1/3 of cars that left. Undoubtably would have been easier in my celica with the 4wd but I would have ended up looking like a seesaw with the lower ride height trying to get out.

totally agree,all classes racing,superb,but badly let down by p--s poor organisation,especially parking,where some toss pot insisted on trying to park cars on a 1 to 1 gradient facing uphill,needless to say he was told in no uncertain terms to fcuk off.After attending KH on numerous ocassions,one gets the impression that they are tearing the arse out of it,25 notes to wander around in mud up to your ankles constantly overpowered by the stink of stale p-ss and if you happened to feel hungry,getting deprived of a fiver for a bacon roll,a great day out?? only redeemed by the racing.Will deffo be watching on telly next year.
