Firstly I would like to say I hope the person mentioned below does not participate on Pistonheads.

I was sat in the local OPC this afternoon when another customer walked in to seek advice on a small problem with the bodwork on his 911.

Apparantly the paintwork had somehow become a little damaged whilst removing flies that were stuck to the bodywork.

The cause of this damaged.....

yikes

We had one customer who lent her Mazda RX7 to her mother and father for a wedding. Father wanted to clean the car as there were a lot of bugs guts. The mother decided to help by using Cif to help remove the goo......weeping

Luckily, she stopped half way up the bonnet but it took us ages with a PC to remove the scratches.....clap

Dont think the daughter was too impressed.

For a sensible and effective solution to dead bugs, rubber marks etc, use a Johnsons Baby wipe cloth. It works a treat.
