Petrol Cap

Hi chaps

I have a strong smell of petrol in my boot that is getting a bit tiresome

Shall I try a new filler cap first? Is it a standard item off something else?

It sounds like the vent pipe, do you get a hissing noise when you open the cap?
The pipe runs over the near side wheel arch and points down to the floor in can get moved slightly and crimp, this is what happenend to mine any way, i found the rubber pipe and un-crimped it, re-fed in to the right postion, job done no more smell, no more hissing

The seals on the cap looked a bit worn...

Pipe duly "un-kinked" and now waiting for the residual smell to dissapate
