Can anyone recommend a good junk mail filter? My inbox is getting deluged with crap and it's driving me mad!

Spambayes is pretty good, works pc side though so you still download the mail but it is immediately diverted off to a spam folder. Only problem with this is if you dialing in over GPRS etc then you are still downloading all the crap first which can be a pain. The upside is you can quickly pop you head into the junk folder and make sure nothing has been accidently marked a spam.

Haven't got a link but google for it.

Thunderbird has spam/scam filtering built-in although like any filtering system you have to train it.
As an added bonus it can tie in to SpamAssasin (and I belive Spambaynes)'s header modifications and just bin stuff as they come through.

SA is pretty good on the server side, although some of the 3rd party rule sets can turn it in to a memory hungry beast.

Thanks for all the answers, I have been using Spambayes for a week or so and it is fantastic. Training was quick and easy, especially as I have received 267 junk e-mails in a week and a bit!!!

I've been using it for a couple of years and it very rarely gets something wrong (even then it's in the suspect folder, not totally binned)
