Laptop Question

Laptop screen no longer works so have bought separate screen and seemed sensible to get a keyboard and mouyse atb the same time. All wokrs fine, but I want to be able to shut the laptop lid so that it takes us less space while using the keyboard and screen, but if I do this shuts down.

Anyone know of any tricks/software to prevent this happenning?

In Windows...

Star > Control Panel > Power Options >
Power Schemes tab.
Turn off "System Standby" by selecting 'Never' from the list of options.
Often when a PC goes in to standby mode it stops listening to USB input.

Advanced Tab
"When I close the lid of my portable computer:"
Select 'Do Nothing' from the list of options.

It'll be in your power properties - usually there's an icon for them down by the clock.
