I gather there is a bluetooth phone kit available for the Monaro. Is this available from dealers in the UK and if so what kind of cost would I be looking at to supply and fit?

Cheers,

Mackie

Again, try JHP if you want the factory option kit. I'm rather tempted myself.

Thats a lot of money for a stereo! Exhaust is only slighly more and then you dont need one...

I saw that in an earlier post, very nice but just a tad pricey!

it'll come down - has dropped around 700 quid from the time I got my first quote on it - this time next year it'll be around the 1k mark I reckon.

That'd be more tempting. If you add up the cost of a phone kit, new head unit and standalone satnav you'd be approaching 1k anyway, much nicer to have it all integrated. One for the list I think

should work but you'll need the single din adaptor kit available from the states for about 110 quid iirc. spoke to guy this week that did 2 monaro installs in Ireland during the summer. He used the convertor faceplate kit and fitted a single din with dvd player and pop out screen, replaced all the standard speakers, and wired in amp and sub in the sidewall of the boot.

Monaro's have a phone wiring plug behind the passenger side transmission tunnel panel. This routes audio through the stereo speakers.

thanks

Now I just have to finalise the sale. Unfortunately some utter c**t has driven into the car I was buying so the poor seller is having to sort that out first! Life can be a real bitch sometimes. The damage is cosmetic relatively minor but will still be expensive to put right properly. Bugger.
