Today a local charity runs an event and the organiser has asked me to take shots for the local paper. Am I correct in thinking that as it is a public event in a public place that permission is not required from the subjects?

anything editoral e.g not advertising is ok if you don't have a release either that or just take pictures of their ass's lol
