HELP BONNET RELEASE CABLE

Does anyone know what car the bonnet release cable is out of as a friend of mine has just broken his. Luckly it opened before it broke but he is going on holiday tomorrow in it and he is hoping it is out of a Ford or something and will try and get one tomorrow.

I think the cable is from an early Land Rover Discovery.

Land rover part number is ALR7062. He got it from a company called BLRC in N/Ireland and they have 10 of them. There web site is www.blrc.co.uk and there phone number is 02897511763 Total price £3.20 + vat.
