High pressure oil pump anyone?

Following on from the low oil pressure thread, I bypassed the gauge/sensor and put a oil pressure tester on my S3 the other day, and it is lower than it should be, so looks like it''s the oil pump. So if I''m going to the trouble of changing it, I was thinking of going for a higher pressure pump possibly. Anyone else done this?, good idea/bad idea? Cheers, Dave.

Fine, just *don't* put one on a pre-serpentine V8! (It wrecks the dizzy drive in short order.) Cheers, Peter Humphries (and a green V8S)
