Is camping allowed? I think it would be pretty crappy if it wasn't, seeing as its a 24 hour race and all.

I thought someone posted a thread about it in the Le Mans forum, but as the search is knackered I can't find it.

Anyway can you camp?

Thanks guys.

Silverstone (not the EERC) won't let you camp on the circuit, but if you can get into the centre area on Friday and set your tent up near the motorhomes I don't suppose anyone would notice that you weren't part of a competing team.

Have a look at the 24-hour thread, other PH'ers are camping nearby

My understanding is that people are camping at Whittlebury Campsite, which is a short trudge to Becketts corner. Apparently camping and parking will be sorted out for next years race.
There has been concern that the spectators weren't allowed to take their cars in this year but Silverstone has informed us that we can drive through the main entrance but not over the bridge into the middle, so at least we can use our cars as base camp and to get about the circuit rather than park outside the main gate like last year!
