I am being tempted back to the virus riddled hell that is Limewire....

However...I have AVAST, but when I download tunes it doesn't appear to have scanned them..
I cant seem to set it to doe this, or even manually do it...

I'm having a slow day her
Any helpers?

Not quite what you want to hear, but personally I would bin Avast and try the free copy of AVG yes

I delved into Avast when I was running pure 64bit XP, as it was the only one I could find which actually worked as a 64bit app. I quite liked it but it does seem to use a lot of system resources (running in the background).

I am somewhat biased as I am a reseller for AVG, but I have the free edition on every machine I own, and in all honesty I have never had a problem with virii or trojans.

My best advice is try the free one, and do a complete scan and see what it finds

Not sure but double click the 'A' icon on your task bar, select P2P shield, and ensure Limewire is ticked.

FWIW I've used Avast for around 4 years now with no issues. AVG ground my system to a halt.

Yeah, junk it for something better.

I got a virus a few weeks ago which Avast didn't pick up. It was an old one too which was even more annoying. AVG soon fixed that.
