Girlfriends/wife + Cerbera = ?

Just out of interest, how many guys have wives or girlfriends that actually enjoy the experience of being driven in a Cerbera? How many drive it themselves? for that matter how many women own cerberas?

As you may have guessed I am getting a fair bit of grief if we ever go anywhere in the Cerb, which really pisses me off as its such a special car.

(I know there are some exceptions, Mrs_T and Mrs Mad Mark)

Mine doesnt like it either - too noisy, too low, too fast, too uncomfortable, can't see the point of it "because your not allowed to go faster than 70 anyway". She'd much rather be 'wafted' along in the armchair Legend

My girlfriend loved my old Cerbera. She said the sound of the engine was 'soothing' and it was fun to be in a car that was out of the ordanary. Cruising on the Mway at 'about' 70mph she would be fast asleep!

She said the same about the Mini too. Its an orignal one, 1982 as well. Its amazing how many Cerbera drivers have owned Mini's!

Mines the same, hates it. First time she got in, she managed to crack her head off the rollcage. Main problem is the noise for her. If she managed to see my account and find out how much i'm spending a week on fuel I cannot imagine she would be to pleased with that either.

We have also got our first kid on the way and she has decided that there is no way it is ever going into it until it is at least 3. I even offered to knit (somehow!) little TVR earmuffs to protect its little delicate ears but she is having none of it.

Ah well looks like I'll be enjoying the car on my own still then.

I love it, and considering MOH works abroad I probably get to drive it more than he does. But when he drives I wish it was dual control on the brake front, but then again he probably thinks the same, (not that I get to drive it much when he is home )

Just done 550 miles round Scotland, with the girlfriend/partner (never called her that before!) had to behave myself all the way, 85,90 max, really had to bite my tongue when some dude in one of those blue subadu's came up behind me on a long open bit of tarmac, thank god he turned pff at the next roundabout, or I may have been in trouble' with on brownie points at all. All in all a fantastic trip, she only complained of feeling sick twice, told me to slow down 4 times, insisted on there being something wrong with the exhaust & not understanding the reason of a decat, moaned a little about the limited senic view (she drives a 4x4!) & repeatadly mentioned it would've been cheaper on fuel to come in the shogun she'd just aquired.
Yes, you could say she dosen't like it.
But who gives a s**t!

Offered a laydeefriend a ride earlier today (30 mile convoy/mini hoon) which she refused. "Let`s go for a quiet drink tonight then?" "OK" I don`t think she had the foggiest idea of the look/sound/general Cerbera experience.....and I just couldn`t resist flooring it. ...... She absolutely loved it!

there was a lady in a cerbera at Knebworth yesterday, only had a chance to chat with her briefly, before being whisked away by my kids who wanted food and bouncy castles. Don't think she had had it long though but was loving it.

Also there is a residential home that I have to visit and in the car park one day was a gorgeous chameleon cerb, so in I went to find the owner and it turned out to be the lady who managed the home, so I now make any excuse to visit just to see the cerb. Did tell her about pistonheads, but she doesn't use the computer. She has had hers for 5 years and is loving it too.

yeah I love everything about the cerb, looks, noise, the buzz, pops and bangs, I was like a big kid coming through Hatfield tunnel yesterday, knocking it down and giving focused behind a nice little firework display (whilst Mark was trying to fall asleep in the passenger seat )

Three Minis then a few others but ended up with My Cerby. Wish i could have my mini back as well

My other half hates it, but that was the lesser of two evils - i considered a Lotus Elise, which she said she would leave me if i bought....

When I first got mine i took my wife to a track day at Snetterton. I did a couple of slowish laps to warm up the fluids and then went for it sliding into and through most of the bends. After Coram ie 1 lap she thumped me in the ribs and demanded to be let out. She has never been in it again. Cant imagine why!

Girlfriend hates it, apparently I drive it to fast, the bumpy ride (better now with ohlins), she seems to have an inability to be able to release the seat belt by pressing the red button, the heat, the cold, the music's too loud, shut your window it's messing her hair up etc etc.

I just prefer it if she doesn't get in.
