Griffith 500 Suspension Arms .........???????????????

I am currently interested in a Griffith 500...

But in deisuccion with the current owner, he has informed me of other prospective purchasers [one chap] being concerned with the possibliity that the suspensions arms have been replaced.

The current owner [of 18 months] is not sure - although the steering rack is new..

What are the implications of the suspension arms having been changed?
Is it a specific concern that has ben raised?

As I understand it the top suspension arms in the Griff are prone to corrosion as they get cooked by their proximity to the exhaust manifolds, which causes any paint or powder coating to fail, then the dreaded tin worm gets a hold.

Not something I personally would worry about as long as there was no obvious signs of chassis damage/repair.

they are replced when they rust, would rather buy one where they have been changed.

I thought 'accident repair' but then, there are plenty more indicators of that aren't there?

They're a consumable, especially the fronts. End of.
I'd rather look at a car that's had them changed, than one that's been run well past the end of their shelf-life... what else has been neglected if something so safety critical has been skimped on?
