******* AUGUSTUS COMPETITION WINNERS ******
Discussion
Last minute reminder that the deadline is tomorrow, 30th AUG, at 12pm.
I suggested that each months winner gives next months winner a prize - it would be rather nice if we did this every month. The prize doesnt have to be big of course, just a thought, a token gesture...
I ordered 2 lens pens last month, in a "buy two get one free" offer. And was accidentally sent 6
So... first, second and third place winners this month will receive a lens pen
There is still a prize (from tesco) on offer for whoever submits the best camel-toe or flange pic

Right. I've decided. After swapping second and third place photos back and forth countless times.
Firstly, Id like to apologise to everyone in advance. I did say that this months competition would be biased, because its my emotions which Im using to judge the photos. And we all like and resonate with different things. It was especially tough because there were so many photos which were good, and so many which I really liked, each capturing something powerful and different.
There were several photos which, in my mind, were popping in and out of the top 3. Including Mrs Fish's photo of a solitary tree because she is an admin
In THIRD place
Mrs Fish, solitary tree on the plains.
I really do love that photo. Africa has a special place in my heart, and the rolling plains, golden horzon and single solitary tree strike that emotional cord of majesty and wonder. Im a fan of simplicity in still life and nature too, it all ads to the drama of our world. I just know someone's going to tell me that wasnt africa
In SECOND place
Trackside, father and son.
You could have won if you'd slipped me a fiver. Fantastic last minute submission! You can feel the love, enjoyment and care the father is taking in helping his little boy get a good view of the action. The photo captures exactly what I was looking for. Its a really nice shot.
And in FIRST place
This months winner is...
scroll down
you knew Id do this didnt you
This months winner is... going to have to wait until tomorrow to find out
Why ever would I have made the closing date one day before the end of the month
Blame last months winner for keeping me in suspense about my prize (which I still havnt received
)
I cant name the runners up untill tomorrow. Trackside, Mrs fish... send me your addresses, you have both won a lens pen.
Well done to everyone. It was fun
edited to add the pics.
